Welfare Department

Welfare Department aims to create a sense of identity and togetherness amongst students during the academic year and to allow the students to enjoy their student life. We plan events for the committee members to allow them to be enriched by the process of planning and to get away from their books to enjoy themselves. These events also allow students to enjoy their student life other than the otherwise monotonous chore of studying.
Our past events include City Venture, Childrens' Charity Program, Bazaars, Blood Donation Drives and both Local & Overseas Community Involvement Programs. Join us to experience the warmth and friendship of what the Student Representative Council of UOL has!

As Head of Welfare Department, I do not feel that I am any special or different just that I believed that joining Council is not hard but serving one with true commitment and passion is the difficult part.
Therefore my vision is to create a cohesive and vibrant environment that will allow my department members and UOL-SRC members or even UOL students to work together and benefit through learning from each other and grow with each unique experience gained.
Thus I hope that I will be able to share my knowledge, skills and knowledge so as to provide inspirations to others and together we can grow as one.

As the deputy head of Welfare department, I am privileged to be able to serve the needs of students and leaders alike, in pursuit of a better and more vibrant school life for us all. The constant challenges of breaking boundaries and the receptive attitude towards new ideas are what I believe will be critical in ushering Welfare Department onto greater heights.
I hope to be of some influence in one way or another thereby creating positive experiences for all I've crossed path in time to come. I want to fulfil my role at the end of the day not as a colleague but as a friend that last.

Taking up the appointment for the new work year means, to me, yet another year filled with opportunities to learn from not only my fellow excos but from everyone else who's part of the SRC family. Everyday, there's a new experience and with every first, I hope to create lasting good memories.
I'm the youngest of the 11th exco but I hope age is not going to be the determining factor for contribution and commitment level. I hope that I along with everyone else in the SRC family will enjoy ourselves and take away aplenty amidst the mountains of proposals and dry mundane backend duties.
