Business development is the lifeblood of the Student Representative Council, generating funds for the Council to operate and serve the student body.
Business Development does this through various avenues such as raising funds through the sales of UOL merchandise and organising events that cater to the student body.
Business Development also runs the student welfare initiative, SIMmetry, collaborating with business owners to offer SIM students special offers for patronising their businesses.
Students in the Business Development committee are able experience what it is like to communicate and negotiate with potential businesses. They also get to run the whole process of securing deals and sponsorship.
