Study Places in SIM

October 18, 2016

Is it hard to find study places after your lecture? Want to discuss your project topics? Well, here is the solution for it; SIM has a vast area of study places all over the campus. Let’s take a campus tour of study places in SIM.

1) Study outside lecture theatres:

The best way to find a place after your lecture is right outside the lecture theatres. You don't need to go anywhere in search of study places, when you have one just outside. This way, not only do you to find a place to study, but simultaneously saving some energy and time to recollect your topics faster.

2) Student Lounge (Outside gym):

Thinking of studying before you hit the gym? Then, this is the right place for you. This study area is located outside the gym, and is fully air-conditioned. This location saves you at times when you fail to find a study place anywhere else in SIM.

Location: Block A, Level 4

3) Library:

It is the Tay Eng Soon Library; a silent study place in SIM. It has a vast area of study places, including an interactive zone. This is the best place to study in SIM, as you can refer to different books, journals and articles. Equipped with a photocopier, it is easier to photocopy your case articles within the area.

The Library has also 6 discussion rooms to do a group study, practice for your presentation or to have an interaction session with fellow study groups. These discussion rooms can be booked through the SIM Library website or click here to book your discussion rooms today! Do note these discussion rooms are fast filling and booking them in advance is vital.

Location: Block A Level 2

4) Interaction Zone:

Searching for places to interact, other than discussion rooms? Visit the library interaction zone or the student interaction zone located opposite of the Student Service Centre.  These Interaction Zones doesn’t need any kind of prior booking (unlike the discussion rooms).

5) Other areas:

On either side of the food courts, these study spaces can be used to interact or study in between break times.  The Cyber Lounge can be used to print study materials and browse topics online.

The next space available is Starbucks. Students can purchase any drinks and spend their time discussing and studying over a cup of coffee or tea.
