Best Places For Heart & Mind Therapy

1. The Southern Ridges

Southern Ridges comprises 10 kilometres of green, open spaces that connects 5 different parks together such as the Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park as well as the Labrador Nature Reserve. These ridges are an alternative for those nature lovers, enthusiasts, shutterbug and for families looking for a different kind of outing. It is one of the best spots in Singapore to enjoy panoramic views of the city, harbour and the Southern islands. Not only that, the Southern Ridges also contains a wide variety of flora and fauna which are definitely insta worthy!!

Walking through these ridges allows a temporary getaway from the hustle and bustle of Singapore’s city life. If you are looking for a quick escape, we highly recommend this!

2. Macritchie Treetop Walk

The TreeTop Walk is the highlight of several long hiking routes located in Macritchie that actually brings you through different stages of a mature secondary forest. This place has become the common spot for people in Singapore to visit since last year. TreeTop Walk is the first of its kind in Singapore and this free standing suspension bridge that connects the two highest points offers a bird’s eye view of the community of plants as well as animals that live in the forest canopy.

This place is best for mind therapy as hiking allows one to combat the symptoms of stress and anxiety in which you might get from work or school. Not to mention with the height of the suspension bridge,one cannot help but feel at the top of the world! Be sure to watch out for the monkeys though!!

3. Teo Heng KTV

Not a fan of nature? Well then, KTV would be the best place for you! We all know how singing has many therapeutic benefits and how song can allow you to express your emotions in way that words can’t. Although you might need to spend money to make yourself feel better, so go on! Sing your heart out !! Get your money’s worth and enjoy it with your group of friends who share the same need to sing their lungs out as well!! Just be sure none of them are going to be too judgemental when you start singing off key.

4. Coffeemin (JCube)

If you prefer a place where you can stay as long as you want with food and games available to you without additional cost, then Coffeemin is the best place for you! This place is a pretty cosy hang-out spot where you only pay for the time that you spend over there. You can either play computer games, Xbox, board games, read books or even play pool there. If you are not the kind of person who get bored easily, then this place is perfect for you!!
